Exciting Times

Well I did plan to do monthly updates of our progress but not exactly sure what happened to May onwards! Anyway its October and I am back.

So whats new in the wonderful world of Tactile Treasures you ask.

NEW White Star Teether

Well when we started three years ago, yes time flies when your having fun, we thought we had enough teethers to last five years. However the white corner teether is the first to be replaced and has been tested for a new EN71 certificate. Others will be manufactured over the coming months. With the arrival of our white corner teether was the new white star teether our first new teether and the first of many. We plan to add more in the coming months as we expand our range which maybe hampered slightly due to the new Chromium VI testing that is required for EN71 compliance. A new test basically means more money going out but an expense I insist on to make sure our products are fit for purpose. The new standard for Chromium will be added to the directive on the 18th November 2019.

We have two craft shows left this year both with ICHF at the SECC in Glasgow and then the week after at the NEC in Birmingham, where Amelia will be making an appearance, so if you wish to be served by the little diva make sure you check on which day she will be on stand.

Dawn is presently working on three new sewing kits that will go on our website as soon as they are completed. Two of them utilises our chalk fabric while the other one might be to do with a panda or maybe not!

 Hochanda

Our last appearance on Hochanda was in August when we took Amelia to the studio. She had a fantastic time and even had a cameo appearance on the show thanks to the wonderful team. Special mention to Yannis and Hayley (presenters), Robyn (production gallery) and Val (director) for making it a special day for Amelia.

It is Amelia’s plan to eventually take over from Dawn and present on Hochanda, unfortunately she has several years to wait, unlucky Dawn!

Wholesale

After many requests we have finally launched a wholesale section and we our products stocked in a local fabric retailer, which is brilliant start and one we plan to expand on. So if you are interested then please feel free to contact us.

Best regards

Paul
